I wrote before about how was accepted into the college I wanted, now today I got the mail and recieved a lovely suprise. I received a letter that goes as follows:

Dear Jessica,

Congratulations! I am pleased to confirm your Olivet Nazarene University grant. This award is intended to celebrate your academis achievements and to recognize those students whom we feel wil make an outstanding contribution to our community.

Beginning in the fall of 2008, you will receive:

Year One: $5000
Year Two: $5000
Year Three: $5000
Year Four: $5000

Total Award: $20,000


Wow, I am blessed. Thank you God!

I have really hard-to-get goals. I want to have a future in film making. I want to leave my mark if anything, in that way.

Now with that said, I have done nearly everything, just short of getting kicked out of my house and getting arrested to hinder my dream. This is my last chance. I can feel it.

A few minutes ago my mom called me down from my room to get my mail. I saw my highly awaited envelope sitting on the table, just then I knew I did not get in, so what was the point in opening it? I guess it was curiosity. The anticipated, "We are sorry to inform you--" I opened it and started reading:

Dear Jessica,

Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you of your admission to Olivet Nazarene University for the fall of 2008.


When I read the first word, I was ecstatic, by the end of the sentence I was terrified. None of that matters though. I am going to Olivet. I was accepted.
